British Touring Car Championship for 2010 Seasonby Automotive News & Auto BlogThursday, March 25, 2010 at 07:28 AM EDTIf you want to see some great racing, the various
Touring Car series are a good place to start. Though they're not big in
America, they are in Europe, and Chevrolet isn't missing out on the action.
After introducing the new Cruze to the World Touring Car
Championship
last season, the car is now set to take on the British Touring Car
Championship. As you may recall, Chevrolet replaced the aging, Daewoo-based Lacetti Touring
cars
with the all-new, all-Chevy Cruze in the WTCC last season and the team
pulled off four wins in the 12-race series. Now, the Cruze is heading north to
the U.K. to replace the Lacetti for the 2010 BTCC season, and considering the
fact that teams running the Lacetti recorded podium finishes in six races of
the 10 races and won three of them, the Cruze has its work cut out for
it. Plato's teammate, Alex MacDowall, wasn't as quick,
but the youngest driver in the series wasn't letting it get him
down. Source: Chevrolet This article originally appeared on Car News Gossip. |
