Starting a diet can be difficult. First is finding the motivation to take that first step toward eating healthy. Barring a good friend or spouse who is dieting with you and helping you find that inner strength, most of us are on our own when it comes to jumping that hurdle. But there are lots of weight loss drugs out there that claim to help you control those annoying hunger feelings.
Talking to your doctor about which one, if any, are right for you is the most important step. But before your appointment it is a good idea to get familiar with the different kind of weight loss pills on the market. One of those is phentermine, a drug that stimulates the nervous system to lower your appetite. Another is adipex-p another drug that claims to suppress appetite. Before your doctor's appointment take the time to read about each drug. Particularly look for answers to these questions: What are the most common side effects associated with the drug? Does the drug have any warnings about interactions with other medications? What is the potential for addiction with the drug? Then write down the name of each drug that you think might help you. Also write a list of questions to ask your doctor about each drug. This is a crucial step. Consider how many times you have left a doctor's appointment only to realize you forgot to ask him or her an important question. Arming yourself with information about each drug and writing down specific questions will help you and your doctor reach the best decision about what is right for you.
