What Law Did Cindy Sheehan Break???

Cindy Sheehan was arrested at the State of the Union address last night.

She did not sneak into the gallery. She was invited by a member of Congress.

She did not try to shout down the President. She did not attempt to keep America from hearing what he had to say. She didn't punch anyone or carry a gun, nor was she drunk or disorderly.

Her crime?

Wearing a t-shirt and refusing to cover it.

The t-shirt had the number of dead (so far) in Iraq and the question, "How Many More."

No profanity.

Nothing vulgar.

A number.

A question.

She was ordered to cover it. She refused. She was cuffed and taken from the chamber.

So what was her crime? If the t-shirt had been PRO war, PRO Bush, would she have been ordered to cover it?

Or was her crime simply the unwritten offense of confronting this President with an opinion other than his own?

In the post 9/11 world, embarrasing the President is now, apparently, a federal offense.
