When is enough enough?

When is all hell going to break loose, anyway?

We've got "Christian" ministers calling for the assassination of a head of state, then lying about it the next day.  We've got a government that lies to us even when it would be easier to tell the truth.  We've got Geedubya banging the war drums louder each day, and now the freakin' American Legion is "declaring war" on antiwar protesters.

We have a mainstream media that does not challenge this administration.  We have Democrats in Congress that basically do nothing but play "switch thumbs."  (There are, of course, some major exceptions -- notably Rep. John Conyers and Sen. Russ Feingold, among others.)  The Dems don't challenge the administration, the media doesn't challenge the administration... in fact, the only one who is really challenging the administration right now is Cindy Sheehan and her supporters.

I found out today that Mrs. Sheehan will be making a bus tour and ending up in D.C. on (I think... I'll have to check the date) September 24 to form a large protest at the White House.  That's great, Cindy!  Hopefully I can join you, although I kinda doubt I'll be able to.

WHAT do we have to do?  I've written, called, e-mailed my representatives.  They supposedly work for ME, correct?  (Mr. Feingold works for me.)  If our elected representatives, especially Democrats, won't challenge this administration, what can we do?  Are we literally going to have to take it to the streets?  It's beginning to look that way.  Peaceful protesting, of course, but they'll start arresting peaceful protesters for disorderly conduct if the heat gets too hot.

I'd better start saving money so my husband can bail me out of jail...
