Oh boy. Seems CNN's Glenn Beck, well, how does that old saw go about not getting any lower...and he outdoes himself with this latest..um...what do you call such lunacy?

In addition to the incredible lack of preparation for the occupation, and the remarkably dubious motivations for invading at all, there's the question of how we are conducting this Iraq "war" or "occupation" or, if you believe the administration, "attempt to foment freedom-loving democracy by means of military action and political posturing."

Specifically, there's the question of private contractors in almost every arena in Iraq.

I wasn't going to get drawn in to Dennis Prager's latest idiocy, in which he claims that newly elected Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison is somehow betraying America and American values by choosing to "swear" his oath of office using the Koran instead of the traditional Bible.

How do you know when your pastor is too immature for his job?  How about when he sounds exactly like a frat boy jock taking to his college buddies.

And in keeping with financial news, here's one about Microsoft's perpetual struggle to perpetually drive computer owners perpetually insane...

Updating the news about housing starts and housing prices, CNN reports that:

The pace of new home sales fell more than expected in October, although prices showed strength after a couple months of weakness, according to a government report.

From the Charlotte Observer:

They pretty much said, "These issues are fine, but they're not our issues; that's not our base."

After a week of woe, we are finally back online.  It will take some time to catch up with delayed posts, etc., but hey....first I have to live through the first December thunderstorm I've seen in years, and the first tornado warning for southern Vermont in at least two years.
