Mary Cheney, committed right wing conservative except for issues affecting her

Odd how those judgmental right wing values seem fine to people who aren't the targets of the disgust, but seem kind of...wrong when the right winger becomes the target.  Take Mary Cheney (please).

This is a baby. This is a blessing from God. It is not a political statement. It is not a prop to be used in a debate by people on either side of an issue. It is my child.
Mary Cheney, addressing the public discussion of the morality of her having a baby with her lesbian partner.

Boy isn't that nice? She sure didn't have any problem working to elect a party that feels the opposite

Every piece of remotely responsible research that has been done in the last 20 years on this issue has shown there is no difference between children who are raised by same-sex parents and children who are raised by opposite-sex parents.  What matters is that children are raised in a stable, loving environment.
Mary Cheney, addressing the claim by James Dobson that research shows children to be better off with heterosexual parents.

Well, two points here.  First, why would you help elect an administration dedicated to preventing homosexual marriages and homosexual parenting if that's how you feel?

Second, if you really think that stability is crucial to good childraising, how can you oppose every suggestion and program that tries to provide enough financial and childcare support for people at the lower middle and bottom to have families?  Does she just think that only people who are affluent should have kids?  Won't that drastically reduce the pool of cheap labor that keep the affluent so....affluent?
