A Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch poll on the coming election is more grim news for our cast of Republican radicals.

Poll results:
For Governor:
--Strickland (D):        47
--Blackwell (R):         27
--Other:                     2
--Undecided:             24

For U.S. Senate:
--Brown (D):             45
--DeWine (R):           37
--Undecided:             18

Notable responses to the mail poll:

1. "..this country needs something other than Republicans right now."
--32-year old woman whose husband is serving in Iraq.

2. "I might be inclined to vote for Strickland because the Republicans running this state are proving themselves to be a bunch of greedy crooks. It may be time to clean them out."
--A 54-year old Republican
