It's Cheney's false comparison and he's sticking to it

On today's Meet the Press, Dick Cheney said:

But the fact is, the world is better off today with Saddam Hussein out of power. Think where we'd be if he was still there.

First, in order to decide if the world is better off today without Saddam in power, you have to compare the world with him in power and the world without him in power.  Something Dickie can't be bothered with; hes happy to have you obsess on one side of that two sided balance.

Second, even if the world is better off without Saddam, that doesn't tell you whether the world might be even more better off had we accomplished this in a different way.

And just think, between Cheney and Bush, Cheney is supposed to be the cerebral one.
