And if the content of the web site is already being compiled and disseminated in other forms, the total cost of maintaining a site is real small. But not small enough for the Department of Commerce to maintain it's economicindicators.gov web site which presents economic data from both the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).

If you caught our feckless leader's radio address last Saturday, you were treated to one of the worst examples of chutzpah and selective outrage in the history of American politics. Which is obviously saying a lot.

John McCain has expressed his opinion that he is not against the U.S. remaining in Iraq even for 100 years, noting that the real issue is casualties during our stay, not simply that we stay. And he sees plenty of reason for hope in the conditions in Iraq following our troop surge. That's fine for McCain distant view from the presidential race here in America (and the view does not seem to have hurt him too much among the Republican primary voters). But how do Iraqis feel about these things?

Nuts. Absolute nuts, I think. Finally, the MSM is waking up to what me, you and everyone else already knows: The recession is here, like it, lump it, shoot it, cook it, kill it, eat it.

Okay, let's accept for the moment that Dr. Ron Paul, candidate for the Republican nomination for President, is not, was not, and will not be a racist on the personal level. I'm willing to accept the word of the head of the NAACP branch in Austin, TX to that effect. Let's also accept that such candidates are not personally responsible for which groups of people choose to support them. That still leaves me with the question, "Exactly why is it that so many racists find Paul such an attractive candidate?"
