If you've served in the military, worked for the military, or watched any black comedies about the military you know that acronyms are a way of military life.  But shouldn't there be a limit?

Lebanon-born Khaled al-Masri, a German citizen, claims to have been abducted/seized in Macedonia in December of 2003, then taken by the CIA to an Afghanistan detention center, where for five months he was interrogated and abused.  In fact, al-Masri has filed a civil lawsuit against the CIA.

For some reasons, Republicans are rarely bothered by their party's absurd claims of treason, sympathizing with terrorists, and the rest of the Rovian trash heap called politics in the 21st century.  When the absurd smears are directed at Democrats, that is.

It figures. It always does.

The U.S. has often taken China and other repressive regimes to task for using cheap/free slave labor or prison labor.  Right wing sites, such as NewsMax do so frequently.

Any guesses as to which other, closer-to-home country, has a very large and still growing prison labor industry?

I never had a lot of hope for John Boehner.  Turns out that "not a lot" was too much.

So Fox ballyhoos that Bob Novak says "No Bush Administration Effort to Discredit Joe Wilson.  That's a relief, 'cause that would have been one doozy of an example of dirty politics.  And since so much publicity has been focused on Wilson, Plame, Novak and the other players in the lengthy Fitzgerald investigation, Novak wouldn't say that without being pretty certain of his conclusion, right?  Right?
